Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Golf team is preparing to return to action and looking to improve upon their 5th place finish at last season's AMCC Championships

The Panthers struggled to find consistency throughout the 2021 campaign, finishing the AMCC Championship Tournament in 5th place. They were able to win 2 tournaments, the Medaille and Hilbert Invitationals, and finish 2nd at the James Bowen Invitational, hosted by Penn State-Behrend.

Individually, the Panthers were led by Brody Kamuda, who posted an 84.11 scoring average in his first season with the Panthers, winning 1 Individual Medal. Senior Jared Chaffee finished just behind him with an 84.44 average and Evan Jordan had an average of 85.00 strokes per round.

Looking forward, the Panthers will look to Kamuda and Jordan to provide some experience to a young but talented squad that includes newcomers Curtis Barner, Connor Smith, and Max Bizzak. Andrew Heinze, Dominic Puma, and Edward Ritts will all battle to earn a spot among the 5 scoring positions, while also improving their game playing as individuals.

The Panthers begin their season by hosting their annual Pitt-Bradford Invitational over Labor Day Weekend. The Invitational is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3rd at the Pennhills Club in Bradford.
