Kamuda, Smith Named to All-Conference Teams

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's golf team saw two of its players honored by the AMCC on Friday as Broderick Kamuda and Connor Smith were named All-Conference performers.

Kamuda was voted to the first team, while Smith made the second.

Kamuda led the Panthers with an 83.22 scoring average this season. He finished tied for 5th at the AMCC Championships after shooting a 168 over two rounds. He had 3 top-10 finishes, including two at the AMCC Championships. The other came at the Medaille Invitational, where he finished tied for 3rd.

"Brody put in a lot of work this season and I'm glad it paid off for him," said Head Coach Keith Stauffer. "He is starting to become a complete golfer and learning that it's not always about length, but playing smart golf. If he keeps improving, the sky is the limit for him."

Smith averaged 83.78 strokes per round for the Panthers this fall. His best round was a 75 in the second round of the Mountain Valley Classic, the third-best score of the day. He had 4 top-10 finishes, including the AMCC Championships, where he finished tied for 7th.

"Connor came to us as a good ball striker, he just lacked tournament experience," added Stauffer. "He strives for excellence and as hard as he works, he will achieve that."

The Panthers finished their season with a 3rd place finish at the AMCC Championships.
