Panthers Take Third at AMCC Championships

Presto, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's golf team brought their fall season to a close on Tuesday, as they secured a third-place finish at the AMCC Championship Tournament, held at The Club at Nevillewood in Presto, Pa.

After shooting a 353 on day one, the Panthers were able to shave 11 strokes off their score on day two, posting a score of 342 to secure their 3rd place finish with an event score of 695. They were 19 strokes behind Mount Aloysius and 9 ahead of Penn State-Behrend in 4th. Penn State-Altoona wrapped up their second straight conference title with a dominating score of 651.

After an opening round 83, Broderick Kamuda carded an 85 in round two, moving him into a tie for 5th, and placing him on the All-Tournament team. Connor Smith shot an 84 in the second round, moving into the top 10 and finishing tied for 7th. 

Following a tough first round that saw him post a 93, Evan Jordan shot the 2nd best round of the day, finishing with an 80. He moved from 22nd to 11th. Max Bizzak rounded out the scoring with a final round 93. Andrew Heinze did not score in the event, but he was able to shave 5 strokes off his round 1 score to shoot a 98.

The AMCC Championship concludes the Panthers' fall season. They were able to win one tournament, the Medaille Invitational, and took third twice. They will take the winter off before returning to action in the spring.
