Orchard Park, N.Y. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team won its second straight invitational on Tuesday, winning the Hilbert Invitational by 13 strokes. Evan Jordan won the individual title for the event, the first of his career.
The Panthers put in a well-balanced performance to win the event, as its top four scores were all in the 80s. As a team, they posted a 340, which was 13 strokes better than the hosts, Hilbert, and 34 better than Medaille.
Senior Evan Jordan won his first career individual medal by firing an 81. He finished three strokes ahead of the field and posted his lowest score of the season.
Jarod Chaffee finished in a tie for 4th with an 85, and Drew Swanson was just one stroke behind him in a tie for 6th. Sean Campbell finished in a tie for 8th with an 88 to round out the scoring for the Panthers. Broderick Kamuda shot a 93, putting him in a tie for 12th.
Dominic Puma had his best round of the year while competing as an individual. He finished tied for 2nd with an 84.
The Panthers will be back in competition on Monday, October 4th. They will head to Erie to play in the James Bowen Invitational hosted by Penn State-Behrend. It will be their last event before the AMCC Championship Tournament.
