
CRESSON, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's golf team capped a strong weekend with a victory in the Mount Aloysius Invitational to earn the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic championship.
The Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic takes the combined results from the Penn State-Altoona Invitational (Saturday) and Mount Aloysius Invitational (Sunday) for the weekend event championship.
During Sunday's action, the Panthers won the event with a score of 306, besting the second-place finishing Penn State-Altoona which shot a 308.
Cooper Cordova led the event with a score of 74 while Cary Ignaczak finished second shooting a 75.
Matt Moonan finished tied for seventh in the event with a score of 78 and Jamie Rook was just one stroke back at 79,
Rounding out the Panther performers was Sam Marchini who shot an 81.
Pitt-Bradford earns the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic championship after its combined score from Saturday's action at Penn State-Altoona and Sunday's event at Mount Aloysius came out on top over all other teams.
The Panthers tied Penn State-Behrend Saturday but won on a tie-breaker.
Up next, Pitt-Bradford will compete at Westminster on Monday, Sept. 30.
