Moonan, Ignaczak Lead Panthers To Third-Place Finish At Penn State-Altoona Saturday

ALTOONA, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's golf team shot its best round of the season in the Penn State-Altoona Invitational Saturday.

"Our best round of the season so far," Keith Stauffer said. "We got great rounds from Matt, Cary and Jamie. We have some good momentum heading into tomorrow at Mount Aloysius."

The Panthers shot a 311 as a team and finished in a tie with Shenandoah. 11 total teams competed in the event at Sinking Valley Country Club.

Pitt-Bradford's success came largely in part to stellar rounds from Matt Moonan and Cary Ignaczak.

Each shot a 74, tying for second place at the event.

Jamie Rook earned the 15th best score at the event with a 79.

Cooper Cordova shot an 84 (T-37th) while Johnny Fiore finished with an 88 (46th).

56 total golfers competed at the event.

Penn State-Altoona finished first in the event at its home course, tying with Penn State-Behrend with team scores of 308.

Pitt-Bradford will travel to Cresson, Pa., for an event hosted by Mount Aloysius Sunday at Summit Country Club.
