WARREN, Ohio -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's golf team finished fourth in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship, cutting three strokes from Sunday's round with a 311 Monday to finish with a team score of 625 at Avalon Lakes Golf Club.

Penn State-Behrend earned the 2017 AMCC championship with a score of 588 and La Roche took second, dropping 14 strokes from Sunday to earn a score of 614. Penn State-Altoona finished two strokes ahead of the Panthers with a score of 623 to take third.

"It was a good season, and I am very proud of these guys," Head Coach Keith Stauffer said. "I will miss our only senior, Brett. We beat last year's score by 41 strokes, which speaks volumes of these guys' abilities. Our score this year would have won the championship last year, which shows how the competition is much better now. We will have to improve as well."

Matt Moonan led the way for the Panthers Monday with a score of 75, tying for his best round of the season and cutting his score Sunday by five strokes.

Moonan finished with a score of 155 in the two-day event -- the second best on the team.

Brett Gardner improved his score Sunday by six strokes, firing a 77 Monday for the Panthers. 

With a 79, Cary Ignaczak finished with the top score over the two-day span for the Panthers at 153.

Jamie Rook stayed consistent and shot an 80 both days, tying Gardner for 160 at the event.

Sam Marchini finished two strokes back from Gardner and Rook with a 162 after shooting an 82 Monday.

The Panthers' fourth-place finish matches last season's placement.
