Panthers Finish Fourth At Penn State-Behrend Invitational

ERIE, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's golf team shot a 335 as a team in the Penn State-Behrend Invitational at Lawrence Park Country Club Monday afternoon.

The Panthers' team score was tied for fourth out of the nine teams. Penn State-Behrend took first in its event with a score of 307 while Penn State-Altoona finished second at 314.

"It was not a pleasant day overall," Head Coach Keith Stauffer said. "But we are going to bounce back well and get after it Thursday at Hilbert."

Cary Ignaczak led the way for the Panthers with a 78, tied for ninth overall out of 58 total golfers. 

Following close by, Sam Marchini fired an 83.

AMCC Player of the Week Matt Moonan was three strokes behind at 86 while Brett Gardner shot an 88.

Jamie Rook rounded out the scoring with a 91.

Pitt-Bradford will wrap up its 2017 regular season at Hilbert Thursday afternoon. The Panthers will then compete in the AMCC Championships on Sunday and Monday.
