Panthers Finish Second in Medaille Invitational

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's golf team shot a 326 and finished second at the Medaille Invitational at Glen Oak Country Club.

Cary Ignaczak paced the Panthers as he shot a 76 for a second-place finish in the event, just two strokes back of the leader.

With an 80, Brett Gardner finished tied for fifth, and Matt Moonan was close behind with a score of 82.

Jamie Rook with 88 and Aaron Vansickles with 100 rounded out the Panther performances.

"Cary was solid once again, and Matt played better," Head Coach Keith Stauffer said. "We had some trouble on and near the greens, as we aren't used to slower greens. As a unit, once we get our wedge games in shape, then we'll be right where we need to be."

Pitt-Bradford will have a week off before they compete next Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Penn State-DuBois.
