Butler Named Player of the Week for 2nd Time in Three Weeks

Bradford, Pa. -- Jamarion Butler of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team earned his second AMCC Player of the Week honor in three weeks after leading the Panthers to another 2-0 week.

Butler averaged 29 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 4.5 steals per game in another 2-0 week for Pitt-Bradford in AMCC play. Butler shot 52.8% from the field and made 19-of-21 from the line in the wins. He scored 27 points as the Panthers set a team record for points scored in a 135-92 win over Alfred State, and then led the team to a 98-93 win over Pitt-Greensburg scoring 31 points while accumulating 12 rebounds and six steals.

This marks the 3rd time Butler has won the award and 2nd time this season. He currently leads the conference in points per game with 23.9 per contest and is in the top 10 in the AMCC in field goal percentage (54.0%), rebounds per game (7.3), and steals per game (2.8).

The Panthers (14-1, 7-0 AMCC) will be on the road for both games this week. They will take on Penn State-Altoona on Wednesday, and then head right back to the area over the weekend to take on Mount Aloysius on Saturday.
