Panthers Look to Stay Unbeaten at Home

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will return to KOA Arena on Friday evening, as they will host the Keuka College Wolves. The Panthers have won both of their home games so far this season, picking up a 94-85 win over Houghton on opening night and a 78-57 win over Wells. 

The Panthers enter the game with a 3-4 record after picking up a 74-59 win at Juniata on Tuesday. The Panthers never trailed in the contest as they jumped out to an early 16-2 lead, which despite multiple rallies from the hosts, were able to maintain throughout the game. Nate Schneider led the team with a game-high 25 points on 7-10 shooting. He also made 10-12 from the kine and added 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Freshmen Jeremy Rodriguez had a strong game off the bench, as he scored 17 points in 26 minutes. He shot 4-5 from the field, 2-3 from beyond the arc, and 7-9 from the line. Phillip Wallace also reached double figures with 10 points. 

This season, Schneider leads the Panthers and the AMCC in points and rebounds per game with 24.3 points and 10.9 rebounds per contest. He is also 2nd in the AMCC in field goal percentage, shooting 59.6%. Wallace has provided the Panthers with an offensive threat in the post, as he adds 14.1 points per game. Jeremy Rodriguez adds 8.3 points per game off the bench and leads the AMCC in 3-point shooting percentage, making 47.4% of his shots from beyond the arc.

The Keuka Wolves enter the game at 4-2 this season and are on a two-game winning streak after picking up wins at Russell Sage and at home against SUNY Geneseo. On Tuesday, the Wolves took down the Knights from SUNY Geneseo 76-55. They led by two at the break and then outscored Geneseo 40-21 in the second half to secure the victory. Devin Milton scored 25 points for Keuka, making 7-13from three and adding 4 from the line. Mason VanDeMortel added 14, while Alijah Ellis made 2-2 from the field and 7-8 from the line to reach double-figures at 11 points. Milton also led the team in rebounds with 9.

This season, Milton leads the team at 18.3 points per game. He's making 46.7% of his shots from the field and 44.1% from three. Ellis and VanDeMortel also average double-digit points this season at 12.0 and 10.3 points per game respectively. The Wolves share the load rebounding as three players average more than 4.0 rebounds per game, with none collecting more than 5 per game. 

Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in KOA Arena. The game will include a halftime performance from the Diamond Steppers and for the first time, this season will feature entertainment from the cheerleading team and pep band.
