Pittsburgh, PA. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team lost its AMCC match-up with LaRoche University on Saturday afternoon by a score of 95-60.
Game Notes:
- The Redhawks got off to a quick start against the Panthers, outscoring them 12-2 over the first five minutes of action.
- Nick Carmichael and Justin Kusiappouh lay-ups kept the Panthers within shouting distance through 10 minutes, but a scoring drought that lasted 3 minutes combined with 10 straight scored by LaRoche saw the lead pushed to 20.
- Alex Rodriguez hit a three in the final minute, and after a LaRoche bucket, Carmichael made a put back at the buzzer to set the halftime deficit at 14.
- LaRoche expanded their lead throughout the second half of action, outscoring Pitt-Bradford 54-33 in the final 20 minutes.
Leaders:
- Nick Carmichael was a bright spot in the loss, scoring 16 points on 7-11 from the field. He also grabbed 7 rebounds
- Justin Kusiappouh saw his 3 game double-double streak come to an end, as he finished with 7 points and 9 rebounds.
The Panthers are now 1-5 on the season with an 0-3 record in AMCC competition. They will have the week off for finals, and return to action on Saturday December 14th, when they host Franciscan University, tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m.
