CRESSON, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team dropped an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference road contest at Mount Aloysius Saturday, 63-39.

"I'm proud of the way we battled defensively tonight," Head Coach Ryan Shay said. "Mount forced us into some bad turnovers early though and that set the tone for our offense."

Pitt-Bradford moves to 2-13 in AMCC action while the conference playoff bound Mounties improve to 10-6 in AMCC play.

Reggie Rogers scored 17 points to lead the Panthers and Desmond Brogsdale dropped 13.

Ugwunna Amadi collected eight steals, which sets a new Pitt-Bradford single-game season high.

Both teams struggled offensively in the early minutes, as the Mounties held an 11-7 lead through the first nine minutes of the game.

Pitt-Bradford would remain stuck on that seven-point mark until the 2:31 point, and the Mounties eventually took a commanding 42-16 lead into the half.

Despite both teams shooting near identical metrics in the second half -- with each team connecting on nine buckets apiece and both shooting 1-6 from long range -- the Mount Aloysius lead built in the first half would be too much for the Panthers to overcome.

George Alston led the team in rebounding with six.

Dylan Mitchell and Rogers each connected on a three-pointer for Pitt-Bradford.

The Panther defense forced 17 Mountie turnovers while the Mounties forced 18 Pitt-Bradford turnovers.
