BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team fell to D'Youville, 81-59, in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest at the KOA Arena Wednesday.

"Right from the tip, our defensive focus and intensity weren't there and D'Youville took advantage of it," Head Coach Ryan Shay said. "We never fully gained our footing after that point. I was happy with the way some of the team battled in the second half, but we need to elevate our level as a team."

Justin Kusiappouh led the Panthers with 14 points and Ugwunna Amadi scored 10.

Dylan Mitchell dropped eight points while Reggie Rogers and George Alston chipped in seven points apiece. 

Kusiappouh also led the team with seven boards.

D'Youville got off to a strong start offensively and came away with a 40-21 lead after the first half.

Pitt-Bradford put together a stronger half shooting in the second, pouring in buckets at a 42.9 percent clip.

But the D'Youville lead would be too much to overcome.

The Panther defense forced 21 D'Youville turnovers led by two steals apiece from Jacob Sutton, Rogers and Amadi.

But the Spartans shot 50 percent (34-68) as a team and held Pitt-Bradford to 39.7 percent shooting (25-63). 

D'Youville also made 10 three-pointers, six of which from Grant Beyer.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will stay home to host Franciscan Saturday. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m., with the women's matchup coming earlier at 2 p.m.
