OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team dropped its first contest of the Buffalo Wild Wings Classic at Stevenson University Friday, falling 66-53 to FDU-Florham.

"It was a really hard fought game," Head Coach Ryan Shay said. "Jeff Fry gave us a great spurt in the first half, but we just couldn't find a rhythm offensively. I'm proud of the way the guys fought through."

Reggie Rogers led the way with 14 points while Desmond Brogsdale dropped 12 for Pitt-Bradford.

Dylan Mitchell was the team's leading rebounder with seven boards.

The two teams remained even through most of the first half, due in large part to the hot hand of Jeffrey Fry.

The sophomore knocked down three-balls on back-to-back possessions, putting the Panthers up 23-15 at the 7:16 mark and forcing an FDU-Florham timeout.

But FDU-Florham used the long ball to work its way back and ended up taking a 35-31 lead into the half.

Fry was the team's leading scorer in the half with nine points, all coming on three-pointers. 

The second half belonged to the Devils, as FDU-Florham outscored the Panthers 31-22 in the period while shooting 34.5 percent from the floor to hold off the Panthers.

Rogers, Brogsdale and Justin Kusiappouh led the charge for the Panthers' offense in the half, dropping six points apiece.

FDU-Florham won the battle of the boards, outrebounding Pitt-Bradford 40-33.

At the line, Pitt-Bradford went 12-15 for 80 percent.

Pitt-Bradford will play Saturday against the losing team of the Stevenson vs. Clarks Summit game Friday evening in the Buffalo Wild Wings Classic consolation game at 2 p.m.
