GREENSBURG, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team ended its 2017-18 season with a defeat at Pitt-Greensburg, 63-55, Saturday.

"Tough loss for us today," Head Coach Sean Brown Sr. said. "Our guys played really well in spurts today, but a few questionable coaching decisions down the stretch really hurt us. I want to thank our seniors Brady Dailey, Salil Harris, Colby Mills, and Christian Kelly-Perkins for giving us all they have. These seniors are the first group of guys that are laying the foundation for the program in the years to come. We expect to be back stronger next year."

The Panthers finish the 2017-18 season with a 4-21 overall mark and 3-15 record against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponents. 

Dylan Mitchell led Pitt-Bradford with 17 points while Malique McCoy dropped 12. 

Pitt-Greensburg got off to a fast start, holding a 12-2 lead four minutes into the game.

But Pitt-Bradford answered with a quick 10-2 run to bring the score to 14-12.

The Bobcats held a steady lead the rest of the half, but the Panthers closed out the half with a 9-3 run to tighten the gap and send the two teams into the break with Greensburg holding a 34-30 lead.

The two teams traded buckets early in the first half until a three-pointer from Christian Kelly-Perkins tied the game, 39-39, three minutes into the second.

A free throw from Mitchell shortly after gave Pitt-Bradford its first lead of the half.

Neither team was able to maintain an advantage as the lead changed hands many times.

A layup from McCoy at the 5:44 mark gave the Panthers a 54-53 lead, and he later made a free throw to put them up two points, 55-53.

But the Panthers would go cold and fail to score again, allowing Pitt-Greensburg to score 10-straight points and take the 63-55 win.

Pitt-Bradford took care of the ball, turning it over just eight times.

Mitchell led the Panthers in rebounds as well with four.

Desmond Brogsdale was the top distributor with three assists.

Sahlil Harris grabbed four steals as part of the 22 Greensburg turnovers. 

The Panthers shot 31.4 percent from the field and connected on four of 20 three-point attempts. Colby Mills led the way with a pair from long range. 

Saturday's game ends the career of the Panthers' four seniors, Christian Kelly-Perkins, Sahlil Harris, Colby Mills and Brady Dailey, who were honored for their dedication and success as Pitt-Bradford student-athletes for Senior Day on Feb. 10.
