BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team fell to La Roche, 84-67, in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference game Saturday at the KOA Arena.
The two teams traded the lead in the first half until La Roche responded to a Colby Mills three-pointer at the 3:54 mark with a 12-0 run and took a 42-27 lead into the break.
Brogsdale led the way for the Panthers with eight points in the first half while Niedermeyer scored six. La Roche shot 51.5 percent from the field in the first half and made six three-pointers while the Panthers shot a 44.4 percentage with three makes from long range.
The Panthers hung with the Redhawks in the second half but ultimately did not cut into the halftime deficit.
Brogsdale took on most of the scoring in the second half with 15 points. Reginald Rogers and Mitchell contributed six points apiece.
Jones also provided a spark off the bench, scoring five points in 19 minutes including a pair of assists.
Pitt-Bradford forced 15 La Roche turnovers, collecting eight total steals. Brogsdale and Rogers led the way with three steals apiece.
Pitt-Bradford will be in action next on Wednesday as the Panthers travel to Chatham for a non-conference game.
