The Pitt-Bradford men's basketball team bounced back Saturday, defeating Pitt-Greensburg 83-65 on the road.

The Panthers put Wednesday's 23-point loss to Medaille behind them to win their fourth game in five tries. Pitt-Bradford struggled from the field against the Mavericks but shot 52 percent to down the Bobcats.

The Panthers went ahead for good on Jon Haenel's three, 16-15, at the 12:44 mark of the first half, and they outscored the Bobcats 15-6 over the final eight minutes of the period to lead 42-29 at the break. Haenel had a pair of baskets to spark the run, and Manny Welch canned a three-pointer in the closing seconds to cap a half in which Pitt-Bradford hit six threes and shot 59 percent.

Fateem Brockington's trey two minutes into the second half pushed the Panthers' advantage to 18, and the Bobcats never threatened again.

Pitt-Bradford forced 20 turnovers, which led to 26 points, and outscored Pitt-Greensburg by 14 in the paint. The Panthers were 10-16 from the free throw line and hit seven threes in all. The Bobcats shot 42 from the floor and outrebound Pitt-Bradford by 36-34.

Evan Greening led all scorers with 28 points on 13-20 shooting, and he pulled down nine rebounds to narrowly miss out on his 13th double-double of the season. Welch finished with 13 points, and Fateem Brockington had a double-double of 11 points and 10 assists. Haenel added 11 points off the bench, and Sahlil Harris collected three steals.

Pitt-Bradford improves to 7-7 on the season and 5-4 in the AMCC. The Panthers return home Wednesday to host Hilbert.
