The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Basketball programs, along with the Office of Community Engagement, the Office of Institutional Advancement, and members of Alpha Phi Omega co-ed service fraternity, teamed up with long time Pitt Bradford friends, Sue and George Evans, to raise awareness and support for the Evans-Krivak Foundation for Gynecological Cancer.

The members of APO also sponsored a "Heart to Heart Challenge", with a promise to match the total amount of money raised up to $500.

The athletic department donated the gate from Saturday's doubleheader, which totaled $537, and with the APO's match it brought the total amount raised for the Evans-Krivak Foundation for Gynecological Cancer to $1,037.
