UPB Men Win 3rd Straight, Drop DYU 77-62

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team (5-9, 4-3) won its third straight game, dominating D'Youville, 77-62, Thursday night at the KOA Arena.

Evan Greening and Eric Matheson led a relentless UPB offensive attack with double doubles. Greening posted 23 points and a team-high 18 boards while Matheson added 20 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. Colton Holzwarth added 10 points and three steals while Manny Welch rounded out the Panther's offense with eight points.

Marcus Clark led the Spartan's offense with 17 points and four steals while Jon Gemerek added 15 points and Nate Sweetman chipped in with 13 in the loss.

Pitt-Bradford dominated the glass, outrebounding the Spartans 51-37.

The Panthers took the lead early and never gave it back, leading by as many as 18 points with 17:19 left. The Spartans got hot from beyond the arc late, but never got within single digits as the Panthers cruised to victory.

Pitt-Bradford returns to action Saturday at LaRoche at 2 p.m.
