Lions Drop Panthers, 77-61, in Wooster Finale

WOOSTER, Oh. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team fell 77-61 to Mt. St. Joseph, Wednesday night in the third place game of the Kiwanis Tournament at the College of Wooster. 

Evan Greening once again led the Panther's offense, and was named to the all-tournament team. He finished with 15 points and seven rebounds while Sahlil Harris added 13 points and three steals. Colton Holzwarth finished with 12 points and Eric Matheson rounded out the Panther's offense with 12 points in the loss. 

Joel Scudder led the high-powered Lion's offense with 20 points and seven boards while Andrew Finley finished with 15 points. Jake Cropper added 13 points while Tyler Manaugh and Erik Edwards chipped in with 11 points each. 

The Lions got off to a hot start and never looked back, outscoring the Panthers 47-32 in the opening half. The Panthers fought back in the second half, but it was too little too late, as Mt. St. Joseph emerged with the 77-61 victory. 

The Panthers returns to action Wednesday, Jan. 6 at Hilbert at 6 p.m.
