BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team (1-3) dropped a 90-81 overtime-heartbreaker to Houghton College (4-1), Wednesday evening in the KOA Arena.

The Panthers led the majority of the game, but the Highlanders came roaring back with a strong second half, forcing overtime and eventually picking up the non-conference victory.

Evan Greening continued his double-double streak, posting a team-high 23 points and 11 boards. Eric Matheson added 16 points and seven assists while Manny Welch followed with 14 points and Sahlil Harris added 10 points and four blocks off of the bench in the loss.

Phil Pellegrino led the charge for the Highlanders, pouring in 27 points while Brandon Camacho added 20 points and three steals. Tyler McQuaid finished with a double-double, picking up 16 points and 10 boards in the victory for Houghton.

It was a tale of two halves as the Panthers outscored the Highlanders 44-29 in the opening 20 minutes while Houghton held a 41-26 advantage in the second half. The Highlanders then got out to a quick start in overtime, scoring the first three buckets and eventually taking the 90-81 victory.

Both teams shot 46 percent from the field and 42 percent from beyond the arc and both teams gathered 40 boards. The difference came late in the second half when Pellegrino caught fire from long-range, erasing the 17 point deficit the Highlander's faced early in the second.

The Panthers have a quick turnaround as they open AMCC play against Franciscan College on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the KOA Arena. The women's game will follow at 4 p.m.
