The Bradford, Pa. native enters his 21st season as the head men's golf coach in 2020.

Stauffer was fittingly named the 2019 AMCC Coach of the Year for the third-straight season after guiding the Panthers to their second consecutive conference title. 

In his first year at the helm, Stauffer led the Panthers to the 2002 AMCC Championship.

The following season, the Panthers won the ECAC Southern Region Championship, which earned them a spot in the ECAC Division III Championship in Rochester, N.Y.

In 13 of his 18 full seasons, Stauffer's squads have finished in the top five in the AMCC Championship.

Under Stauffer's guidance, twelve players have been named to the AMCC All-Conference First Team, including three AMCC Players of the Year (Fran Palumbo in 2002, Brian Leljedal in 2004, and Cary Ignaczak in 2019). Also, Tyler Cozad was named the conference's Newcomer of the Year in 2009. Johnny Fiore became Pitt-Bradford's first-ever individual medalist at the AMCC Championships, leading the Panthers to a conference title in 2018. Cary Ignaczak repeated this feat in 2019.

Stauffer attended Bradford High School and graduated in 1981, where he played football, basketball, and golf.  He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1985. At IUP, he participated in two NCAA Division II National Tournaments where the team finished in seventh and eleventh place, respectively. In 1984, he was the runner-up in the ECAC Championship at Colgate University. 

Personally, he has won over 15 Club Championships at Pine Acres Country Club dating back to 1984. He's qualified for two U.S. Amateur Championships and played in two Porter Cup Championships (a premier amateur championship) in Niagara Falls, N.Y.
