JERRY LAWSON '86
Lawson starred on the basketball team from 1982-1986 and is a member of the 1,000-point club at Pitt-Bradford. Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, Lawson was not recognized for his achievement until 2014, becoming the 24th player in program history to reach 1,000 points. He finished his career with 1,108 points, 19th most all-time.
The Sewell, N.J., native was a first-team All-District NAIA selection as a junior, averaging a career-best 16.1 points a game. Lawson ranks in the top 10 in program history for free throw percentage for a season (84.1) and total assists for a career (474) and season (202). His 14 assists against La Roche on Nov. 22, 1983, is the third-best single-game mark in Pitt-Bradford history.
MATT ROWLES '04
Rowles played on the basketball team from 2000-04 and finished his career as one of the most decorated players in program history. He was a two-time All-AMCC selection, led the conference in scoring as a senior, and helped the Panthers to consecutive AMCC championships and NCAA tournament appearances in 2002 and 2003.
As a junior, the Clearfield, Pa., native averaged 13 points a game on 57 percent shooting and more than seven rebounds, while earning second-team All-AMCC honors. Rowles was a first-team all-conference selection as a senior, scoring 19 points and pulling in seven rebounds per contest. He finished his career with 1,123 points, 16th-most all-time in program history. His 58 percent career shooting ranks second in program history along with his 62 percent shooting clip as a senior.
CASSANDRA WALKER '05
Walker was a dual-sport athlete, starring on the basketball team from 2002-05 and the softball squad from 2004-05. She is best remembered for making the game-winning catch against Frostburg State in the 2004 AMCC Championship game, reaching over the fence to secure the final out, capturing the Panthers' second straight title. She would lead Pitt-Bradford to a third straight crown in 2005 as a team captain and the program's first NCAA tournament appearance.
The Towanda, Pa., native ranked among the best three-point shooters in the AMCC as a senior, hitting 32 percent of her attempts, third-best in the league. On the diamond, Walker was a two-time All-AMCC pick as an outfielder. Her career marks for batting average (.340), hits (66), stolen bases (11) and at bats (194) rank in the top 10 of program history, and her season totals for hits (40), triples (5) and stolen bases (8) rank in the top five.
