Matt Beacom ’04

A native of Tarentum, PA, Matt played men’s basketball from 1999 to 2003.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in business management.

Matt was a hard-nosed player and played a lot bigger than his 6-4, 240-pound frame. He was a tremendous scorer inside and a ferocious rebounder. Most of his points were registered near the basket because of his instincts and his inside positioning. There is no doubt that Matt led by example. His ability and intensity was matched by no opposing player, which earned him many honors during his time at Pitt-Bradford.

Matt ranks first at Pitt-Bradford in career field goal percentage at .586, career field goals made with 807, career free throws made with 460, free throws made in a season with 168, and free throws made in a game with 16. He is second in career scoring with 2,075 points, career rebounds with 1,031, and points in a season with 650. Matt was named to the AMCC First Team his sophomore, junior, and senior years, and to the Second Team his freshman year. Matt was honored with the AMCC Most Valuable Player in his sophomore and junior years. He was named AMCC Player of the Week 11 times. The Panthers’ record while Matt played here was 79-31, including a school-record 23-5 in 2001-02, which earned the Panthers an AMCC Championship and their first NCAA tournament bid and matched the next season with an AMCC Championship followed by the NCAA tournament bid. Matt was named Pitt-Bradford’s Male Athlete of the Year an unprecedented three years in a row from 2000-2003.

Ryan Briskar '05

A native of Clearfield, Briskar played baseball from 2001 to 2004.

Briskar was an applied mathematics major and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005.

Ryan was a great leader at second base and off the field. He was very knowledgeable and while on the bench, assumed the role of another coach in teaching the younger players the fundamentals of baseball. His physical and mental qualities made him one of the most talented baseball players in Pitt-Bradford history.

He ranks first at Pitt-Bradford in career slugging percentage (.595), most career games played (160), most career games started (159), most career at bats (548), most career runs scored (137), most career hits (191), most career doubles (54), most career triples (12), most career home runs (19), most career runs batted in (132) and most career total bases (326). Briskar is fifth in career batting average (.349). He holds the single-season marks for slugging percentage (.732 in 2001, runs scored (46 in 2001), most triples (5 in 2001 and 2002), most home runs (7 in 2001), and most total bases (101 in 2001).

His honors include Pitt-Bradford's Rookie of the Year in 2001, AMCC First Team as a freshman, Honorable Mention as a sophomore, and 2nd Team as a junior. Ryan was a leader as the Panthers earned their first NCAA tournament bid in 2002.

Robyn Dinicola-Wagle ’95

A native of Altoona, PA, Dinicola-Wagle played women’s basketball from 1991 to 1994. Dinicola-Wagle was a business management major and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.

The 5-5 point guard was an excellent ball-handler, a great defensive player, and a good long-range shooter. Dinicola-Wagle played her first three years as a point guard and then was moved to shooting guard to better utilize her scoring abilities. She was tenacious on defense and wasn’t afraid to go to the floor for a loose ball.

She ranks first at Pitt-Bradford in career steals with 265 and first in career three-pointers made with 192, is second in career assists with 290, ranks fourth in career scoring, and is a member of the 1,000 Point Club with 1,310 points. Robyn scored 33 points in a game, which is the third-highest total in Pitt-Bradford women’s history. Her 413 points in a season is the fifth-highest, and her 91 steals in a year is tied for second in school history. Robyn’s post-season honors include Most Improved Player in her sophomore year along with earning the Pitt-Bradford’s Player’s Award twice. Robyn was named to the NAIA All-District 18 First Team in 1992 and NAIA All-District 18 Second Team in 1994.
