Pitt-Bradford Men's Swimming Wins Peak Performance Award

Bradford, PA. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's swimming program earned its first-ever Peak Performance Award from the AMCC this week.

The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference awards the program holding the highest cumulative team GPA in their respective sports at the conclusion of the Fall semester. The conference began these awards in the 2013-14 academic year.

The Panther swimming program picked up the award for the first time as the team averaged a 3.24 GPA. Five swimmers earned a spot on the AMCC All-Academic team for having a GPA above 3.2, with two of them picking up individual Peak Performer awards for posting a GPA above 3.5.

"Our team came into the season with many goals in mind, and they put the hours in, both in the pool and in the classroom to reach those goals," said head coach Chelsea Schwab. "They worked extremely hard throughout the season to maintain the high standards they set for themselves."
