Pitt-Bradford SAAC Hosts Annual Special Olympics Bowling With A Buddy

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Student Athletic Advisory Committee hosted its annual Special Olympics Bowling With A Buddy at Byllye Lanes on Sunday afternoon.

All 15 of Pitt-Bradford’s varsity athletic teams, as well as athletic training majors, were well represented at the event.

This event marks the sixth consecutive year that the Pitt-Bradford athletic department took part in this special event. The student-athletes, joined by several members of the coaching staff, helped the Olympians bowl, cheer, support and encourage the bowlers as they prepare for their league play.

The special day is one that everyone at the Mckean County Special Olympics Chapter looks forward to each year, along with the participating members of the athletic department.

“This is a wonderful event that our student-athletes look forward to every year,” said Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Advisor Sean Brown Sr. “Being able to encourage, support and have so much fun with the bowlers is special and we truly appreciate the Special Olympics for having us share in this great event for everyone.”
