Pitt-Bradford Looks To Keep Winning Streak Alive In Wooster Tournament

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team is set to compete in four matches Friday and Saturday in the Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic at Wooster College.

The Panthers will take on Westminster (Pa.) and Bethany (W.Va.) Friday before competing against Oberlin and the host Wooster Saturday.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a four-set victory over Houghton Tuesday at the KOA Arena. The victory was the Panthers' fourth-straight win and moved them to an even 5-5 mark so far in 2018.

Riley Anderson led the team with 19 kills while Emily Cleveland knocked 14. Elizabeth Johnson contributed nine kills.

Payton Orzech assisted 44 of the team's 55 kills.

Laura HildebrandAlexis Constantino, Anderson and Orzech were all in double-figures in digs, led by Hildebrand's 28.

At the net, Alexandra Segura led the squad with five blocks assisted with Johnson assisting four and Katie Treat assisting three.

Entering the final weekend of non-conference action, Pitt-Bradford remains in the upper echelon of the AMCC, leading the conference in wins and many team stats.

Cleveland is the AMCC's top hitter, leading the conference with 109 kills and .320 hitting percentage. The sophomore was named the AMCC's Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Johnson follows closely with a .283 hitting percentage while Anderson's 95 kills are the third-most in the conference.

Orzech is also the top setter in the conference with an AMCC-leading 8.93 assists per set.

At the net, Treat is just 0.01 blocks/set away from the AMCC lead with 0.82.

Anchoring the Panther defense is Laura Hildebrand, whose 166 digs rank third in the conference.

The Panthers will play at 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Friday before competing at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday.
