Panthers To Play Four Matches In Misericordia Tournament

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team will play four matches Friday and Saturday in the Misericordia Tournament this weekend.

Friday evening, the Panthers will take on Moravian and Wilson, before coming back to play against St. Elizabeth and St. John's (L.I) Saturday.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a thrilling three-set victory Tuesday night against Allegheny in its home opener.

Riley Anderson knocked 10 kills and worked 15 digs. Katie Treat came through with nine kills from the outside.

On the season, Emily Cleveland leads the team with 53 kills, 3.12 per set. Anderson is next with 39 total kills while Treat follows closely with 35.

Laura Hildebrand ranks second in the AMCC with 86 digs, and Anderson is fifth in the conference with 59 digs.

With 0.84 blocks per set, Treat is the third-best blocker in the AMCC.

As the Panthers' setter, Payton Orzech leads the AMCC with 8.23 assists per set.

Moravian enters the tournament with a 2-3 mark so far this season. Wilson has played just one match so far in 2018 and suffered a loss in its opener. 

St. Elizabeth captured wins in its first two matches of the season -- both in straight sets. St. Joseph's (L.I.) is 0-2 so far this season.

Friday's matches will begin at 4 and 8 p.m., while Saturday's action is set for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
