Panthers Take Four-Game Winning Streak To Hilbert Tuesday

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team will be in action Tuesday, resuming Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action as it travels to Hilbert. 

The Panthers are riding the AMCC's longest winning streak as they have captured four-straight victories, most recently defeating Immaculata and Keystone in a doubleheader on Saturday at Keystone. 

Heading into Tuesday, Pitt-Bradford is 4-2 in conference play, sitting in fourth place and one game back in the loss column for second place. 

Prior to the two non-conference matches on Saturday, the Panthers earned a sweep against Medaille on Wednesday at the KOA Arena.

On the week, Emily Cleveland led the way as the Panthers' top hitter with 29 kills in the three matches.

Cleveland has the fourth-most kills in the AMCC with 198, and her 2.75 kills per set is the fifth-best mark in the conference.

In the team's conference match against Medaille, Erin Fagan (11) and Ally Easton (10) led the way with double-digit kill totals.

Fagan leads the AMCC with 0.87 blocks per set, and her .259 hitting percentage is the second-best in the conference.

With 0.66 blocks per set, Easton ranks fifth in the AMCC. Katie Treat sits one spot above Easton on the list with 0.67 blocks per set. 

Laura Hildebrand is the fourth in the AMCC with both 351 digs and 4.74 digs per set.

The Panthers earn 10.38 kills per their 89 total sets, the third-most in the AMCC. Payton Orzech has played in 74 sets and earns 6.41 assists per set.

Tuesday's match will begin at 7 p.m.

About Hilbert:

  • The Hilbert Hawks welcome the Panthers with a 1-18 record and still in search of their first AMCC win. Hilbert's win came on Sept. 19 against Cazenovia, 3-1.
  • The Hawks have suffered setbacks in all five of their AMCC matches so far this season: Franciscan and Pitt-Greensburg (Sept. 23), Medaille (Sept. 27), La Roche (Sept. 30) and Penn State-Behrend (Oct. 3)
  • Ashley Repine is the team's top player as she leads the Hawks with 88 kills and 1.49 per set. She's also the top blocker with 33 total and 0.56 per set.
  • Torianna LeWand leads the team with 145 digs and 2.46 per set while assisting 1.68 kills per set. She is also second on the team with 55 kills and 0.93 per set.
