BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford soccer teams will close out their Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference schedules Saturday, hosting Pitt-Greensburg for the final home games of the season.
The doubleheader will be played on the turf surface at Bradford Area High School starting with the women's game at 2 p.m. and continuing with the men's game at 4:15 p.m.
Prior to the start of each game, the Panthers will honor their graduating seniors for Senior Day.
The Panthers women's team is coming off a crucial 1-0 victory at Medaille Wednesday to keep them in the playoff race.
At 3-4-1 in AMCC action, the Panthers enter their final conference game in seventh place in the conference. Pitt-Greensburg is tied with Franciscan at 4-3, the two teams occupying the fourth and fifth spots in the AMCC standings.
Penn State-Altoona is 3-3-1 entering the weekend, one spot ahead of the Panthers. Altoona, Franciscan and Pitt-Greensburg each have a pair of conference games left to play, while the Panthers have just Saturday's game remaining.
On Wednesday, Courtney Shade connected on a penalty kick to give the Panthers an early lead, her 11th goal of the season. Shade's 11 total goals rank third in the conference. She's scored 10 of them in AMCC action, the second-most in the conference.
The Panthers are the second-best goal scoring team during conference play with 20 goals against AMCC opponents.
Meghan Stuck is second on the team with four goals and leads the team with as many assists.
Grace Dadzaa is next with a trio of goals this season, while Jasmine Adams and Julie Barton have scored a pair of goals.
In goal, Emily Bethel's 116 saves are third-most of any keeper in the AMCC.
On the men's side, the Panthers are coming off a defeat to the defending AMCC champion Medaille Wednesday.
The Panthers, 2-6 in AMCC action, but own the best shot on goal percentage at .604 during conference play.
Chase Rider continues to lead Pitt-Bradford with five goals, while Ryuta Hayakawa and Ugwunna Amadi have three goals apiece.
Pitt-Greensburg's women's team is led by Bri Burgunder's eight goals. The Bobcats' keeper Kaity Watson has the fifth-best save percentage in the conference at .767. She's let in five goals in as many AMCC contests.
The Bobcats' men's team enters the weekend behind the Panthers in the conference standings at 1-6 in AMCC action, their win coming on Sept. 22 at Hilbert. Carson Gilarno leads the team with five goals.
After Saturday's action, both Panthers teams will close out their regular seasons at Alfred State for non-conference matches next week.
