Panthers Women's, Men's Soccer Host D'Youville For AMCC Home Opener

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford soccer teams are set to open their Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference home schedules Tuesday as D'Youville comes to the Kessel Athletic Complex.

The Pitt-Bradford women's team will play first at 2 p.m. while the men's team will play after, kicking off around 4:15 p.m.

The women's team is coming off a strong showing in its AMCC opener Saturday, fighting back but falling 5-3 at the No. 8 team in the Great Lakes region Mount Aloysius.

Courtney Shade scored a pair of goals for the Panthers.

She has now scored in two straight games and leads the team with three goals.

Meghan Stuck also scored for Pitt-Bradford Saturday -- her second of the season -- with a header on a corner kick feed from Shade.

Emily Bethel played all 90 minutes in goal and made 11 saves on 16 shots on goal faced.

In addition to Shade's three goals and Stuck's two, Kahlee Bowen and Grace Dadzaa have each scored a goal apiece for the Panthers.

Bethel has made 76 total saves this season -- one shy of the AMCC lead.

On the men's side, the Panthers are coming off a tough 6-0 defeat at Mount Aloysius Saturday.

Derrick Brock was back in goal for the Panthers, playing all 90 minutes and making nine saves.

On the season, Chase Rider leads the team with three goals. Ryuta Hayakawa has scored a pair -- both on penalty kicks -- and Dakotah Graham has also scored for Pitt-Bradford.

Rider's goal total is tied for third-most in the AMCC.

After hosting D'Youville, the two teams will head to Penn State-Altoona Saturday.
