STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Franciscan Barons scored a goal in the first overtime period to take a 4-3 win over the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team Saturday afternoon in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match.

Down 3-2, Kaitlyn Williams scored her second goal of the game with six seconds remaining to send the game into overtime, but Franciscan would earn the win with under a minute remaining in the first overtime period.

"We sat back after our first goal, and Franciscan capitalized," Head Coach Melissa Lincoln said. "I was glad to see the girls fight until the very end and tie it with under six seconds left. Franciscan came at us strong offensively, and unfortunately, we just could not shut them down."

Pitt-Bradford struck first as Kaitlyn Williams received a pass from Courtney Shade and finished, giving the Panthers a 1-0 lead 23 minutes into the game.

But Franciscan would answer seven minutes later, and then take the lead seven minutes after that at the 30-minute mark to go up 2-1.

Franciscan would go on to take its one-goal lead into the half.

Like the first half, the Panthers struck first in the second period just nine minutes in.

Meghan Stuck collected a loose ball and put it by the Franciscan keeper to tie the game at 2-2.

With 10 minutes left in the game, the Barons tipped the scale and found the back of the net on a long, looping ball from outside of the box that just got over keeper Sarah Dailey's outstretched arm and into the right corner.

But the Panthers wouldn't go silently, as they pushed the remaining 10 minutes.

With under a minute left in regulation, Abby Celesky battled at midfield and eventually pushed the ball through to the Panthers' offensive players.

The two teams created a scrum in front of the net as the clock ticked down from 10 seconds, and eventually, Kaitlyn Donnelly got the ball through to Williams, who knocked it past the Barons' keeper, tying the game with six seconds left and sending it to overtime.

The Barons controlled much of the offense in overtime, firing two shots early that required Dailey to make saves.

At the 99:04 mark, the Barons got one past as they found the back of the net, taking the overtime win.

In total, Panthers put five shots on goal. Williams put three on goal while Stuck and Abbey Kalin had one shot on goal apiece.

Dailey made six total saves.

This is Williams' second multi-goal game of the season.
