Wrestling to host Penn State-Behrend on Senior Night

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford wrestling team will bring its regular season to a close on Monday night when they face off against Penn State-Behrend on Senior night.

The Panthers are coming off of a split home tri-match that saw them defeat Thaddeus Stevens 40-12, but fall to Lycoming 18-36. Victor Elias picked up two wins for the Panthers on the day. He won his first match by major decision with a score of 17-5 and his second by pin at 3:44. Eli Hernandez also won two matches, winning his first by a medical forfeit and his second by a 7-3 decision. Nathan Powley, Tyler Newton both won matches by pin fall against Lycoming and won by uncontested forfeit against Thaddeus Stevens. Farhid Negahban also picked up his first collegiate win, pinning his opponent at 3:53 against Thaddeus Stevens.

Prior to the match, the Panthers will recognize 6 seniors, who include wrestlers that are the last group to make up the program's inaugural 2018-19 team. Shaquan Bagot, Victor Elias, Eli Hernandez, Tyler Newton, Nate Powley and Matthew Ristau will all be recognized along with friends, family and coaches. 

The action is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. Monday night in KOA Arena
