Panthers Return Home Wednesday To Host Saint Vincent

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team will be back in action Wednesday at Byllye Lanes hosting Saint Vincent.

Action is set to start at 4 p.m.

Wednesday marks the first competition for the Panthers since Nov. 13 in which Medaille earned wins in the two traditional scoring formats, 893-805 and 886-711, before capturing the baker best-of-seven format, 4-0.

Trisha McElroy was the team's top performer in traditional scoring with a 370 total pinfall and the Panthers' top game score of 199 during game two.

Mackenzie Bonyak was second with 344 total pins, with a 198 score in game one.

Jenna Lofaro knocked down 298 pins, Kelsey Hammons 289 and Jessica Hamel rolled 215 total pins.

Bonyak led the team with a 17.14 pins per frame baker average. The next highest was Lofaro at 13.25, followed by Hammons at 13.14. Hamel averaged 11.75, and McElroy rounded out the Panther performers with an 11.63 baker average.

Prior to hosting Medaille, Pitt-Bradford defeated Penn State-Behrend.

For her performance during both matches, Hammons was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Bowler of the Week.

Saint Vincent is also competing for the first time since the holiday break. Most recently, it finished third in the Florida Shore Collegiate Classic on Dec. 1-2.
