Panthers Welcome To Medaille For Home Opener Tuesday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team will welcome Medaille for its home opener Tuesday at Byllye Lanes.

The Panthers are coming off a busy but successful weekend, defeating Penn State-Behrend on the road, 3-1, Saturday before sweeping Penn State-Altoona on the road Sunday.

At Behrend, the Panthers earned a win in the first match, lost in the second but came back for a win in the third.

Kelsey Hammons was the top performer for the Panthers Saturday with 566 total pins.

However, Trisha McElroy rolled a 203 in game two, the best game for a Panther so far this season. She finished second overall on the team with 511 total pins.

Bryce Holm knocked 475 pins in the three games while Jenna Lofaro was next with 406.

Jessica Hamel rounded out the Panthers performers with 371 pins.

Then Sunday at Altoona, McElroy led the team with a 196.5 average in the two traditional matches, and Hammons was close behind at 178.

Lofaro averaged 148 pins and Holm posted a 137.5 average. Hamel averaged 109.5 pins per game.

In baker, the team got strong performances from Hammons (16.9), McElroy (16.7) and Holm (16.7).

Tuesday's match is set for a 5 p.m. start.
