Panthers Bowling Hits The Road For Busy Conference Weekend

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team is set for a busy weekend, taking on a pair of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponents on the road.

The Panthers will head to Penn State-Behrend Saturday then travel to Penn State-Altoona Sunday.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a tough 3-0 defeat at Saint Vincent last Sunday.

In team format, Saint Vincent claimed the win in game one, 831-734, then in game two, 853-747.

Kelsey Hammons led the Panthers in traditional scoring with a 180, followed but Trisha McElroy averaged 161.

Saint Vincent later claimed the baker win, 650-518.

Mackenzie Bonyak was the team's top performer in baker with a 15.25 average. McElroy was next for the Panthers, averaging 11.86.

Jenna Lofaro averaged 120 in traditional and posted a 10 baker average.

In her first collegiate bowling competition, Jessica Hamel averaged 120.5 pins in traditional and earned an 8.38 baker average.

After the busy weekend, Pitt-Bradford will host Medaille for its home opener Tuesday.
