Pitt-Bradford Sweeps Saint Vincent On Senior Day

Pitt-Bradford Sweeps Saint Vincent On Senior Day

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team ended the home part of its schedule strong, taking all three wins over Saint Vincent at Byllye Lanes Tuesday.

"I'm really proud of how the ladies played today," Head Coach Sarah Foley said. "Kelsey and Haley helped us in our traditional by adding a 224 and 203 to our total pinfall. Jenna was very consistent today. The 10-pin was certainly not in her favor, but she was able to pick it up when she needed to. Kelsey was on fire today. Only a couple opens, which she handled herself well. Haley did a fantastic job, but as the match went on, she struggled towards the end but still hung on."

Prior to the start of the match, seniors Haley Ward and Abbey Kalin were honored for Senior Day.

The Panthers took care of business in the one-game team match, 814-735.

Kelsey Hammons was the top performer in the team match with a score of 224.

Haley Ward was close behind at 203.

Pitt-Bradford then went on to take the first baker match, 775-757, while taking three of the five games.

In the second baker match, the Panthers came out on top, 775-704, with wins in three of the five games to complete the evening's sweep.

Hammons was the top performer in baker with an average of 20.53 pins.
