Panthers To Host Saint Vincent Tuesday For Senior Day

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team will host Saint Vincent Tuesday for Senior Day at Byllye Lanes.

Prior to the start of Tuesday's match, seniors Abbey Kalin and Haley Ward will be honored for their time as Pitt-Bradford student-athletes.

The Panthers are coming off competing in the second AMCC Round Robin of the season Saturday.

Pitt-Bradford came away with a 5-2 record in the event, defeating Thiel and New Jersey City. The Panthers also received wins over Penn State-Altoona, Penn State-Behrend and Hilbert, as the three teams were unable to attend.

The Panthers will finish the regular season with a 10-4 AMCC record, seeding them third for the conference championships on March 3 and 4. Pitt-Bradford is one of three teams in the AMCC to earn 10 or more conference wins this season.

Finishing 2-2 in matches played Saturday, though, the Panthers finished third of the four competing teams.

Kelsey Hammons was the team's top performer, averaging 179.2 pins.

Haley Ward was close behind with 176 average pins per game.

Bryce Holm was third on the team with a 164 average while Jenna Lofaro was next at 155.2 pins.

Abbey Kalin rounded out the Panther performers with a 127.2 average.

Hammons held the Panthers' single-game high with 210 pins in game five to help the Panthers to a win over New Jersey City.

Hammons also rolled a 202 against the 'bye' position as the only other Panther score over 200 pins in a single game.

Ward's high came in game three against Mount Aloysius with 196 pins.

Tuesday's match is set to begin at 7 p.m. with Senior Day ceremonies starting at 6:45 p.m.
