Panthers Head To Saint Francis For Three-Day Red Flash Invitational

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team will hit the road and compete in the three-day Red Flash Invitational at Saint Francis (Pa.) starting on Friday and concluding on Saturday.

Joining the Panthers and the host Saint Francis will be AMCC opponents Penn State-Altoona, Medaille, New Jersey City, Mount Aloysius and Penn State-Behrend. The other teams competing will be Morgan State, Belmont Abby, Coppin State, Lincoln Memorial, Norfolk State, LIU-Post, Duquesne, Felician, Saint Peter's, Caldwell, Wilmington University, Kutztown and St. Vincent.

The teams will be split into two groups.

Friday's format will be five-game baker matches while Saturday's will be traditional team matches.

Action Friday and Saturday will determine seedings, and Sunday will have a bracket format to determine the tournament's champion as well as each team's final placing.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a strong performance Tuesday in which the Panthers took both team matches and the baker match against Penn State-Behrend at home.

Haley Ward averaged 22.3 pins per frame while Kelsey Hammons averaged 19.17 pins per frame.
 
Hammons also led the team with a 176.5 average for traditional, while Ward was right behind her with a 172.5 average.
 
Action Friday will begin at 10 a.m. and Saturday will start at 9 a.m. Sunday's championship day will start at 8 a.m.
