Panthers Head To Saint Vincent Thursday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team will head to Saint Vincent on Thursday for a dual meet.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a weekend competing in the two-day Medaille Invitational.

The Panthers picked up a pair of wins in the baker round-robin tournament, defeating Hilbert twice.

As a team, the Panthers averaged 149.46 pins for a baker average in the event, 8,071 total.

On the season, Kelsey Hammons leads the team with a 17.41 baker average and Brianna Saylor is second at 16.38. The third-best baker average belongs to Haley Ward at 14.82.

This will be the first time the Panthers have competed with the team format since their season opener on Oct. 26.

In that event against Medaille, Ward had the top game high at 196 while Kelsey Hammons bowled a 191.

Saint Vincent also competed in the Medaille Invitational this past weekend, going 5-5 in its 10 games. Saint Vincent topped the Panthers in their two matchups. In Saturday's action, the Panthers picked up wins in three of the five games, but lost the total pinfall, 734-713. In Sunday's matchup, the two teams battled to six games in the best-of-seven format.

Thursday's match will begin at 7 p.m.
