DeAndre "Dre" Demiel is entering his 2nd season as an assistant coach for the Women's Basketball team.
Demiel joins the Panthers from Kings Fork High School in Suffolk, Va. While at Kings Fork Demiel spent 1 season as an assistant under head coach Maurice Fofana, in which the Bulldogs won the Virginia Class 4 Title.
Demiel is a native of Suffolk, Virginia, and a graduate of Churchland High. He was a member of the men's basketball team for one season at The Apprentice School in Newport News Virginia, where he played 25 games averaging 7.2 points per game while shooting 47.3% from the field, 54.5% from beyond the arc, and 74.5% from the line.
Along with coaching in the high school ranks, Demiel has also worked in AAU basketball, helping his family in creating the Suffolk Elite AAU team.
