PITTSBURGH -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team had its Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference playoff run cut short in the semifinals, falling to Hilbert at La Roche Saturday.

"We fought hard today," Head Coach Sharay Hall said. "Things didn't go our way today. It's not the outcome we worked for all season, but we will learn from this and get better next year."

The No. 2 seeded topped the No. 3 Panthers, 67-47, using a third-quarter outburst.

Pitt-Bradford finishes the season 12-13 overall after going 10-8 in AMCC action to earn the No. 3 seed.

Shaelyn Snipes led the Panthers with 12 points.

Latifah Cain scored 11 points and Jennifer Isenberg scored 10 points.

Etreece Adams collected a game-high 10 boards.

Cain led the game with five steals and dished seven assists.

Pitt-Bradford came out with a strong first quarter highlighted by a pair of three-pointers from Snipes.

Cain worked a pair of buckets in transition drawing Hilbert fouls.

A late Hilbert run in the first knotted the two teams at 18-18 heading into the second.

But Hilbert found its stroke in the second, outscoring the Panthers 18-14 capped by a three-pointer at the buzzer and the Hawks took a 36-32 lead into the break.

Then the third quarter was all Hawks.

Hilbert outscored the Panthers 20-7 and took a commanding lead into the fourth quarter.

The Hawks then closed out the win with an 11-8 scoring advantage.

Pitt-Bradford forced 23 Hilbert turnovers and turned the ball over just 14 times itself.

The playoff loss ends the successful careers of seniors Jennifer Isenberg and Etreece Adams.

Pitt-Bradford is set to return eight players from this year's roster in 2019-20.
