No. 3 Pitt-Bradford To Face Defending Champ No. 2 Hilbert In AMCC Semifinal Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team is set to take on No. 2 Hilbert in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Semifinals Saturday at La Roche.

Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at the top-seeded La Roche.

The No. 3 seeded Panthers defeated the No. 6 seeded Mounties Wednesday at the KOA Arena in dominant fashion, 78-42, to advance to the semifinals.

The win was the Panthers' fourth-straight victory.

Etreece Adams led all scorers with a career-high 21 points.

Jennifer Isenberg poured in 17 points, while Shaelyn Snipes dropped 14 points.

To round out the five Panthers scoring in double-figures, Shirleah Ragin scored 12 points and Latifah Cain dropped 10 points.

Cain came just an assist shy of a triple-double as she collected 11 boards and dished nine assists.

The Panther defense forced an off shooting night from the Mounties, who went 14-54 from the floor for 25.9 percent and 3-21 from deep for 14.3 percent.

The Panthers owned the glass as well, outrebounding the Mounties 53-22. Jenna Hicks collected nine boards to aid the Panther rebounding effort.

On the season, Isenberg leads the team with 14.7 points per game and Snipes is close behind with 14.1 points per game.

Earlier this year, Hilbert defeated the Panthers' in both matchups on its way to earning an AMCC-best 20-5 overall record and a 15-3 conference mark. Due to tiebreaker rules, La Roche earned the top seed.

Hilbert's leading scorer is Taylor Corts, who drops 14.6 points per game. Katelyn Proy is among the top shot blockers in the country with 83 blocks and her 8.6 boards per game rank fourth in the conference while her 49.8 field goal percentage is third-best in the AMCC.

The winner of Saturday's matchup will face the victor of the other semifinal game between No. 5 Penn State-Behrend and No. 1 La Roche on Sunday.
