Pitt-Bradford Women's Basketball Heads To Medaille Wednesday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will return to action Wednesday in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest at Medaille.

Pitt-Bradford put together a strong showing in its lone competition last week, defeating D'Youville 76-66 at the KOA Arena. The home game scheduled for Saturday against Franciscan was postponed due to severe winter weather.

The Panthers enter the week with a conference record of 5-4, which is good for fourth best in the AMCC. Hilbert and La Roche hold a tie atop the AMCC at 8-2 while four teams follow all separated by a game or fewer. Penn State-Altoona is third at 6-4.

Against the Spartans, Jennifer Isenberg dropped a career-high 33 points to lead the Panthers.

Latifah Cain dropped 19 points for the Panthers while Shaelyn Snipes and Jasmin Miller chipped in 10 points apiece.

Jenna Hicks led the Panthers' rebounding effort with 14 boards.

For her performance in the win, Isenberg was named the AMCC's Player of the Week. Isenberg is the fifth-best rebounder in the conference averaging 8.9 boards per game.

Against conference opponents, Shirleah Ragin is the sixth-best scorer averaging 16.6 points per game.

Medaille welcomes the Panthers with a 4-12 overall record and a 2-7 mark in conference play.

The two teams first met on Nov. 28 and the Panthers came out on top 82-63 at the KOA Arena.

Ragin led all scorers with 24 points in the win.

Medaille is led by Breanna Walker and Morgan Kennedy, who both average 13.4 points apiece. Kennedy is the team's leading rebounder pulling in 7.8 boards per contest.

Wednesday's game is set for a 6 p.m. start. It will serve as the first game of a doubleheader with the men's game coming after.
