CRESSON, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team dropped both sides of an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference doubleheader Saturday at second-place Mount Aloysius.

Pitt-Bradford (20-14, 8-6 AMCC) dropped game one 8-0 in five innings before a late Mountie rally made it a 7-2 decision in game two.

"Wasn't one of our best efforts," Head Coach Tina Phillips said. "Having nine days off due to weather and final exams showed. But, we will look to regroup and finish the regular season strong."

Madison East provided the offense for the Panthers as she knocked a two-out, two-run single in the fourth inning of game two.

Jordan Uhing and her Mountie counterpart traded zeroes through the first three innings.

Sophia Fratercangelo and Maddy Hillery reached base, then East stepped in and knocked a single that scored both runners to give Pitt-Bradford the early 2-0 lead.

But a Mountie homer in the fourth and another run in the fifth tied the game at 2-2.

A two-run single in the bottom of the sixth doubled the Mounties' run total and gave them a 4-2 lead, then an RBI single and a pair of runs scored on passed balls made up the five-run inning.

Uhing delivered all six innings in the circle and scattered three strikeouts. 

Hillery, East and Katie Marx each singled to make up the three Panther hits.

In game one, the Mounties plated three in the bottom of the first capped by a two-run single, then added another in the third.

A two-run homer highlighted a three-run fourth inning before an RBI single in the fifth gave the Mounties the eight-run win in five innings.

Gabby Carpenter, Kendra Colegrove and Melissa Nye had a hit apiece for Pitt-Bradford.

Kerrigan Hoffmann pitched all 4.1 innings in the circle for the Panthers, striking out three along the way.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will host La Roche Sunday night after the university's commencement. First pitch for game one at the Kessel Athletic Complex is set for 6 p.m., with Senior Day ceremonies coming ahead of time.
