Panthers Softball To Wrap Up AMCC Slate Playing Three Straight Days

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team will play its final six Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference games in three-straight days, traveling to Mount Aloysius and Pitt-Greensburg and hosting La Roche.

Pitt-Bradford will start its busy stretch Saturday at Mount Aloysius, then host La Roche Sunday night before ending AMCC action at Pitt-Greensburg Monday.

The home finale against La Roche and Monday's road games with Pitt-Greensburg are the results of rescheduling due to bad weather earlier in the season.

Pitt-Bradford owns a 20-12 overall record and an 8-4 AMCC mark, which places them fourth in the conference with six games left.

Prior to taking a week off from competition to focus on final exams, the Panthers split with D'Youville at the Kessel Athletic Complex last Wednesday.

Maddy Hillery remains one of the top hitters in the conference, owning the fourth-best overall batting average at .435 and the second-best AMCC average at .571. Her 27 total RBIs are fifth most.

Gabby Carpenter has also worked her way into the upper echelon of hitters in the AMCC with the eighth-best conference batting average of .413 and the seventh-best overall average of .402.

In the circle, Jordan Uhing is second in the AMCC with 12 wins and has the fourth-best ERA in the conference at 2.40.

Mount Aloysius enters the weekend with a 13-3 AMCC record, one game behind first-place Penn State-Behrend. La Roche is 3-11 in league play and Pitt-Greensburg holds a 4-10 AMCC mark.

Saturday and Monday's games will start at 1 p.m. while Sunday's home action will begin at 6 p.m., as Pitt-Bradford will have its commencement earlier in the day.
