BRADFORD, Pa. – Head Men's Swim Coach Douglas Alban of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford has been voted the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year, while Jared SchwabCorey Koss, Nicholas Boyd, Benjamin KossCarey Behm and Noah Frederick earned All-Conference honors.

"I am very honored to be voted as men's coach of the year by the AMCC," Alban said. The team has fully bought into our training plan and it is paying off remarkably with the number of school records we have broken and the number of people we have on the All-Conference team. I am very proud of what everyone on this team has accomplished and look forward to the next steps in our journey as a team."

Panthers Men's, Women's Swim Teams Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

NORFOLK, Va. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's and women's swim teams have been recognized as College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams for the Fall 2017 Semester.

"This is our number one goal for every semester as a team," Head Coach Doug Alban said. "I am extremely proud of how hard these student-athletes work, both in the classroom and in the pool. This is also a huge morale boost for the team as we are ready to head into our conference championships."

A total of 688 teams from 430 individual institutions from across NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA were named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams for earning a team GPA of 3.0 or higher in the 2017 Fall Semester.

This past semester, the Pitt-Bradford women's team earned a GPA of 3.49 while the men's team combined for a 3.03 GPA.

In total, 164 Division III women's teams received the honor while 110 men's teams in Division III earned a spot on the list.

The Panthers men's team was also recognized for garnering this honor for the first time.

For the women's team, this is familiar territory as this is the second-straight year the Panthers have been named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team.

The Pitt-Bradford swim teams are preparing for the 2018 AMCC Championships set for Feb. 14-17 at Penn State-Behrend.
