Pitt-Bradford Baseball Continues Homestand Hosting Hilbert Wednesday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team is set to continue its homestand hosting Hilbert for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference doubleheader Wednesday at the Kessel Athletics Complex.

Pitt-Bradford (11-9, 4-4 AMCC) is coming off a doubleheader sweep of D'Youville at home Saturday, capturing 11-7 and 10-3 wins against the Spartans.

Matt Hair put together a big day at the plate, 5-for-8 in both games with six RBIs, three runs scored, a double and his first career homer, coming in game one.

Reid Tarnowski picked up the win on the mound in game one tossing 6.2 innings while striking out three.

Jake McNabb had a pair of multi-hit games, going 5-for-7 with three RBIs, five runs scored and two doubles.

Hair has elevated his batting average to a team-leading .357 while Austin Parent is second hitting .311.

Parent leads the AMCC with a .512 on-base percentage.

Tyler Hoops is among the Pitt-Bradford leaders with 20 runs scored, 14 RBIs and 21 hits. Kevin Rehak also has 21 hits and he leads the team with eight doubles.

On the mound, Logan Edmonds owns the fifth-best ERA in the AMCC at 2.25.

Andrew Bacha is coming off a complete-game victory at Penn State-Altoona last Wednesday. The junior scattered four hits and struck out six along the way.

This season, Hilbert is 3-17 overall and 1-7 in AMCC action, having split with D'Youville on April 4.

The Hawks are led by Griffith DeMayo who is hitting .353 with nine RBIs and seven doubles. On the mound, Zachary Crane leads the team with 18 strikeouts in 25 innings of work.

First pitch Wednesday is set for 1 p.m. with game two starting around 3:30 p.m.
