BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team picked up a pair of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference wins in a sweep of D'Youville at the Kessel Athletics Complex Saturday.

Pitt-Bradford (11-9, 4-4 AMCC) captured 11-7 and 10-3 wins in the two games over the Spartans.

"The guys took care of business," Head Coach Zach Foster said. "Good to see the bats wake up today. A total team effort. Very proud of the way the guys played today."

Matt Hair put together a big day at the plate, 5-for-8 in both games with six RBIs, three runs scored, a double and his first career homer, coming in game one.

On the mound, Reid Tarnowski picked up the win in game one tossing 6.2 innings while striking out three.

Jake McNabb had a pair of multi-hit games, going 5-for-7 with three RBIs, five runs scored and two doubles.

In game one, the Spartans jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the second on an RBI single.

But Pitt-Bradford got it back in the bottom half on a Samuel Dreistadt sacrifice fly and an RBI single from Jason Lucarelli, going up 2-1.

Hair clubbed a two-run double in the third, then Hoops knocked a sacrifice fly in the fourth to bring the score to 5-1 heading into the fifth.

Pitt-Bradford erupted for six runs in the sixth, starting with Lucarelli scoring on a D'Youville fielding error, then Kevin Rehak scoring on a fielder's choice off the bat of Hoops.

McNabb ripped an RBI double, setting up for Hair's big two-run homer to left.

An RBI double from Sawyer Packard capped the scoring for the inning and the Panthers took an 11-1 lead into the final frame.

D'Youville did most of its scoring in the top of the seventh, first on a pair of RBI singles, then three-straight bases-loaded walks. 

A Spartan hit by a pitch with the bases loaded brought home their seventh run, and the tying run came to the plate.

But Sam Gwiazdinski induced a line out and earned the save.

Yael Crespo came on in relief of Tarnowski in the seventh before turning the ball over to Gwiazdinski.

Then in game two, D'Youville scored first once again, this time grabbing a run in the top of the first.

Pitt-Bradford plated three runs in the second on RBI singles from Hair and Packard with McNabb scoring on a wild pitch in between.

In the fourth, Austin Parent was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, scoring Packard and giving the Panthers a 4-1 lead.

D'Youville cut the deficit to just a run with a pair of runs in the fifth.

A two-run single from McNabb along with an RBI single from Hoops and a sacrifice fly from Hair doubled the Panthers' run total and they took an 8-3 lead in the sixth.

Pitt-Bradford capped its scoring with a pair in the eighth as Hoops scored on a dropped pop fly in deep right field and Dreistadt sent home McNabb on a groundout.

Alex Miles started and tossed five innings while striking out three to pick up the win on the mound. 

Alex Andrzejewski came on in relief and threw three innings of work and struck out three before turning it over to Nate Renick for the final inning of the game -- who worked strikeouts in two of his three recorded outs.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will host Hilbert at the Kessel Athletics Complex Wednesday.
